SOCK (Swiss Osteopathic Center for Kids) è una fondazione con sede in Svizzera dove i bambini hanno la possibilità di accedere gratuitamente alle cure osteopatiche nelle cliniche organizzate dagli osteopati in formazione nel corso SOCK. \nIl corso SOCK è diventato negli anni un “Meeting Place” (punto di incontro) per osteopati provenienti da tutto il mondo per condividere\, imparare e trattare insieme i bambini. I fatti sono verificabili con l’ascolto attraverso le mani. Questo è il nostro lavoro. Ascoltare l’eterno processo della Vita. Le capacità usate dagli osteopati tradizionali hanno bisogno di molti anni per maturare perché l’intelletto vorrebbe influenzare la malattia senza considerare il processo di autoguarigione del paziente. Il nostro compito è di apprendere le capacità di ascoltare e supportare le forze di guarigione che lavorano nel bambino. Qualora fossero deboli\, supporteremo le riserve funzionali per riattivare la forza necessaria a sostenere le forze di guarigione. \nL’abilità di un osteopata è proporzionale alla sua comprensione di cosa è normale piuttosto di cosa sia il processo patologico. Quindi siamo formati\, sia nella comprensione dei meccanismi fisiopatologici della malattia\, sia nella comprensione concreta di ciò che le forze di guarigione stanno cercando di ottenere nella globalità del paziente stesso. Quando la mente è quieta e il cervello sinistro è passivo\, questo meccanismo ancestrale può essere percepito dalle nostre mani. \nNei 3 giorni di viaggio osteopatico vi guideremo passo dopo passo attraverso differenti livelli di percezione per avere una conoscenza più profonda di questi principi base di Osteopatia craniale. \nQuesto è l’obiettivo di questi corsi. It will be an opportunity to explore the HEART AND SOUL OF OSTEOPATHY in a closely supported and guided space with experienced teachers. \nWhat is the BioBasics EU program?\nThe BioBasics EU program offers postgraduate educational training in the foundational principles of Biodynamic Osteopathy\, and is made available to students at a reasonable cost. It is designed to explore the fundamental topics in the Biodynamic Model of Osteopathy as well as the SOCK educational program on the Osteopathic Treatment of Children.\nThe material is an introduction to this work and provides an enriching experience for the seasoned practitioner. All this is made possible by the high tutor to student ratios and the extensive experience within the faculty.\nBioBasics courses have been an Osteopathic tradition in the USA for many years. There are now also courses throughout Europe using this unique approach for the teaching of Biodynamic Osteopathy\, passing on the knowledge of our great profession that has been a tradition for generations since its inception.\nHands-on experience cannot be taught through a book. So\, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience some of the deeply enriching concepts that the Biodynamic Osteopathic model has to offer. \nWhat is the Sock Training Program?In 2006 Werner Van Camp and Dr James Jealous founded the SOCK clinic and training program. The aim is to serve children and their Health. SOCK (Swiss Osteopathic Center for Kids) is a charity based in Switzerland where children have access to free treatment in clinics organised by Osteopaths who study Osteopathic treatment for children in the SOCK educational program. \nThe SOCK Program has grown to be a wonderful “meeting place” for osteopaths from all over the world to share\, learn and treat children together. The courses are designed to enable registered osteopaths to develop into safe and proficient paediatric practitioners with high–level critical reasoning and practical treatment skills. It secures their knowledge base and makes them aware of its limitations. \nMeanwhile the SOCK training program spread over the world and is taught in several countries. Osteopaths from over 25 different countries participate and exchange knowledge and experience in the osteopathic treatment of children. Our program for this osteopathic treatment of children courses has been assembled with Love \nA full treatment of Children training program is woven around the biodynamic model as designed by James Jealous D.O. \nWho is teaching in the Biobasics EU Program?The faculty is composed of osteopaths who have completed the six year SOCK program and are members of the BioBasicsEU study group.\nDuring the weekend there will be a mix of lectures and hands-on practicals taught by senior SOCK graduates and Werner Van Camp. In the practicals\, the table trainers will offer you hands-on assistance and answer questions you may have. The skills used by traditional Osteopaths take many years to mature because the intellect wants to influence the disease without the advice of the innate healing process in the patient. \nOur task is to learn the skill of listening to and supporting the healing forces at work in the child. If they are weak\, then we support the functional reserve in a process to reactivate the power necessary to drive the healing forces. \nThe skill of an Osteopath is based on an understanding of normal rather than the disease process. As a result\, we are trained in both the understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease and knowing concretely what the healing forces are attempting to accomplish in the whole patient. \nOnce the mind is quiet and the left brain is passive\, this innate orchestration can be sensed by listening hands. \nIn a three days Osteopathic journey we guide you step by step through different landscapes of perception to get a deeper understanding of these basic principles of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. \nThis is the goal of these courses. \nOsteopathy is an experience based science. A Biobasic Course is about sharing that experience with colleagues and friends\, to meet\, discuss\, laugh and enjoy Osteopathy.
